Thank you for thoughts and prayers for both my fur-babies. The next option for Ezzie was medical boarding to keep her from wasting away and force-feed her. I took her to my local vet for two hours yesterday afternoon and they coaxed her to eat – by gentle methods! She’s perked up and is chowing down again at home, a real turnaround.
Medical boarding at emergency vets can be $800 for 24 hour treatment. Family Pet’s bill from yesterday? $20…That’s right, no more zeros, included courtesy recheck. Family Pet Clinic has offices in Southampton and Feasterville, and I highly recommend this practice. One of their vets does both wholistic and conventional medicine, including acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Almost all their doctors and staff are women (just sayin’).
May all furry and hairless mammals enjoy this sunny afternoon – 11 days til spring! Cats lie in the sun, drainpipes are gurgling with snowmelt, and I’m hanging clothes on the line. Blessings, Barbara A
