Folks, your celebration team is responsible for 53 celebrations a year (52 Sundays, plus Christmas Eve) and we need your help finding new ideas.
As you know, our topics (and speakers) are wide ranging. Here’s a sample, just from this year: “Love Yourself Day” with Janet Berkowitz; “Spiritual-Emotional Intelligence” with Susan Manning; “We Refuse to be Enemies–How Muslims and Jews Can Make Peace One Friendship at a Time,” with Muslim American Sabeeha Rehman and Jewish American Walter Ruby; “Revisiting Our History . . . for the First Time: Juneteenth, Reconstruction and Tulsa,” with Rosalind Cauffman; and “Devil As Trickster: Declaring Our Independence From Victimhood,” with Jeanne Elodie Montclair.
That’s only five of the 30 celebrations we have held so far this year—you can see that it takes lots of ideas to fill Pebble’s Sundays. So please… send us topics that you would like us to address involving spirituality, religion, humanism, social justice, racism and peace issues (or, anything else you think might be appropriate for our very open, receptive and intelligent congregation.)
ALSO: We are always looking for engaging speakers!
Just email any of us. Please include your name (emails don’t always show them).
