We grow seedlings, clear and plant and augment our soil in the spring. Set up our automatic watering system. Then we tend the miracles as they produce, squash, tomato, beans, cucumber, peppers, cantaloupe, eggplant, sage, sunflowers, marigolds and mint. As they ripen we deliver our weekly harvest to Bucks County Opportunity Council, “They are so kind and grateful for any and all donations. Every little bit helps!” Our harvest of fresh organic food is delivered directly to the hungry in our neighborhood. Thursday morning harvests are delivered until November’s frost sets in. Last year we donated over 1000 pounds of fresh organic food.
If you have a dream, discover the spirit of Pebble Hill Interfaith Church. The flame that burns in this community is true and strong – go for it!
Our garden has partnered with the Bucks County Opportunity Council, the Pebble Community Organic Garden is a member of the Hunger Nutrition Coalition of local farmers, gardeners, schools, businesses, individuals helping to alleviate hunger in our area. Pebble’s Garden donated over 1000 pounds of fresh organic food. Together we raised 966,415 pounds of food, equal to 743,396 meals, last year.
