About Our Celebration
Let’s multiply the power and all pray together! Prayer gives us hope in the darkness, and a way to express our joy when the world shines. You’ll have a chance to tell us what, or for whom you want us to pray. We’d love to pray for you yourself, your health, your hopes, your future. Or, you may lead us in your own prayer.
Do you carry special prayers with you–those prayers you go to in darkest times and those “sustaining prayers” that bolster you as you go through your day? The Rosary, the Lord’s Prayer, or other…? Probably, most prayers are spontaneous, but many are written and part of some religious tradition. We’re looking for prayers from different denominations and traditions, even in the language of their origins, such as Hebrew and Arabic.
Tell us your prayer story; tell us what praying has meant to you. And don’t forget your favorite childhood prayer. We’ll also have musical prayers and sacred chants. If you have something appropriate for our altar, please bring it for this special Prayer Sunday.
