About Our Celebration

Rafael, a musical phenomenon we are fortunate enough to have as our regular Sunday piano player, will take the “guest-speaker” slot to perform a mini-concert! Rafael’s playing is beloved by the community, and his improvs dazzle. Won’t it be nice to relax and let the music do the talking? The celebration team invited him to perform as a way of saying, “We love you, Rafael—play on!”

A California native raised in Mexico, Rafael now lives in Doylestown. He trained in classical piano in Mexico and later developed a taste for other genres: Latin, pop, rock, jazz and musical theater. Performing credits include solo piano and ensemble work in clubs, restaurants, and accompanist/conductor for local theater groups: State Street Players, The Phillips Mill Players, New Hope Playhouse, and Bob Egan Entertainment. For fifteen years he played and conducted for Midnight Production’s yearly “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the Keswick.

More recently, Rafael joined “Moments Like This”, created by singer-songwriter Christina Margot, performing music for special occasions. Rafael currently teaches piano performance, modern harmony, and improvisation in Bucks County and surrounding areas.
