Globally, 23 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. And although we’ve made good strides in a healthy direction, 30% of those women will die of breast cancer. Gwyn Michael was one of the unlucky ones.
However, Gwyn left behind a rich legacy of art she created—from the time she was a child up until her death. Like most great artists, she used art not only to create beauty, but to make statements and as a tool of self-discovery.
As we approach the tenth anniversary of her passing, it is time for a retrospective of her work. The opening of her art show will be September 1, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Pebble Hill Church, 320 Edison-Furlong Rd., Doylestown, PA. Her work may be purchased for a donation to Pebble Hill, a place that was important to her.
The Art Opening will be a festive affair–for Pebble people, old and new, and for the public as well. There will be music and refreshments. (Volunteers needed to bring food to contribute–desserts, hor d’oevres, etc.) If you happen to have memories of Gwyn you’d like to share, there will be an opportunity for that, as well.Â
