Rev. Rosalind will review a recent NY Times survey of religion in America. What’s up with all the empty pews? What do people really believe in? And who are the “nones”? What is it like to “grow up in the faith”?
She’ll tie in the memoirs of two well-known authors and teachers: Buddhist teacher Sharon Salzberg whose memoir is improbably entitled “Faith” and Kate Bowler, professor at Duke Divinity School and author of “Everything Happens for a Reason – And Other Lies I’ve Loved”.
We’ll chat in small groups about our own experience of organized religion (if any) and where we are now.
Council President Jeff MacNair will share the council election results.
Join us at 10:30am in person or on Zoom.
