I am an Artist, Wellness Practitioner, Channel, Master Teacher, Rainbow Sol Star, and Labyrinth Facilitator, who utilizes the healing therapies of Touch and Art, “to hold space” as WE, the energies of this earth, remember our Wholeness. The Art WE are co-creating represents the Seeds Of Light awakening within US!
As a Labyrinth Facilitator, the gift of this sacred geometry has unlocked paths filled with intergalactic vistas. Like the threads that weft and warp, the message of this new journey connects all to the global community of : : Stay the Course, Trust the Wisdom that arises, and Lead with Love.

We have another reason to Celebrate on a Sunday! Gretchen Altabef has just completed her first novel and it has been accepted for publication. Release dates and more information will be available as this unfolds.
This Gallery Show is a Fundraiser for Pebble Hill Church and a Retrospective of Gretchen’s art work. 100% of the sales from this show go to Pebble Hill Church!
This retrospective covers Altabef’s career as a photographer. These framed pieces from Altabef’s long career are priced to sell. Most work is framed and kept under $30. In a way this show represents a farewell to her artist life and a leap off the cliff into her life as a novelist.

About The Artist

For most of my life I have been a visual artist, ranging from photography and collage to found object sculpture, theater and video art. I used my art to survive the horror of September 11, 2001. I used my abilities to curate a circus of a show with the Dumpster Divers of Philadelphia at the National Archives. Yet, it took a great smash in my life for me to open up to my writing.
As a novelist of Sherlock Holmes I emulate Dr. John Watson’s and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s literary style. My first novel, “These Scattered Houses,” is in the process of being published in London. It is both an historical novel and murder mystery, solved as only Holmes could.
Art can be a mirror to fall into, turn around, see differently: Whether it’s writing, sculpture, collage, photography, poetry, video, theater, music, dance, painting, film, or recycled trash. Our muses entice us to pick up the mirror for all to look within.
A friend who lost his wife to cancer, said, “Knowing that there is more to us than life and death makes one realize that all things are possible.” When my husband died, everything that was him and everything that was me burnt to grey ash, and for quite some time I didn’t know how to continue my life. If it hadn’t been for my son, I probably wouldn’t have. I rose like a phoenix when my Muse arrived in the guise of one of my characters, and make no mistake, I had to recognize him, and be willing to enjoy the work this entailed. For the last two ½ years my life has been, as Holmes said, “When the facts slowly evolve before your own eyes and the mystery clears gradually away; each new discovery furnishes a step which leads on to the complete truth.”
As Goethe said: “Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it! Begin it now!” I would add: Your talent, “Has genius, power, soul and magic in it”, trust it, use it. It is the gift you packed to come here. Our gifts are not all writing or painting, they are mathematics, science, engineering, compassion, the ability to organize, to create loving community, or to teach, and so many more. Kurt Vonnegut said, “To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.”
I am a grateful member of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London, the John H. Watson Society, and the Dumpster Divers of Philadelphia artist collective.

Abi Boehm Art Show

Abi is a self-taught mixed media artist. The work that’s shown here is reflective of an ongoing project that pairs mudras with mantras as an art practice, and a form of meditation.
She teaches Yoga, Ayurveda with an emphasis on women’s health as an integrated way of life in her studio in Lambertville NJ. She is also an advanced practice nurse, mother & grandmother.

2018 Holiday Art Show

John Murdoch is a master artist, instructor and founder of the non-profit Bucks County Classical Arts Center in New Hope, PA. John creates portraits, figurative and still-life paintings. He often uses hand-ground paints and gold leaf. Art is in his blood, as his artistic lineage traces back directly, student to teacher, to the 18th century highly influential French painter, Jacques Louis David.
Local Ottsville artist, Marge Naperski showed in our gallery this past April/May to great acclaim. Her whimsical, energetic style was embraced by the Pebble Hill community. I asked her to produce some special Angel paintings for this show and lucky for us, she obliged!
Andrea Nicole, another local artist from Perkasie, loves to work within the world of representational figurative art. When she is not creating portraits and figurative art, she turns to making Mandalas. Mandalas are a meditative process for Andrea. Although she gets lost in the colors and designs, she strives to inject each line she paints with positive energy and light.
Next Sunday after celebrating Advent and Hanukkah, continue the holiday spirit with our festive Holiday Art Show and meet the artists, enjoy food and beverage and maybe you will find the perfect holiday gift for yourself or loved ones!
Lotta Rantil Art Show

Lotta relocated from her home of Sweden with her family 2 years ago. Since that time, Lotta has continued her creative pursuits and opened the New Hope Atelier (New Hope, PA). She and her business partner create and sell one-of-a-kind apparel, often using reclaimed fabrics, hand-crafted ceramics, vintage fabrics and other unique merchandise. Lotta also teaches workshops on Swedish folk embroidery and plays a traditional Swedish instrument called a Nyckelharpa in her spare time.
Her work is a interplay of evocative and ethereal elements that challenge the viewers domestic sensibilities. Lotta utilizes her art as a therapeutic tool, one that allows her to explore her feelings and often, reactions to the current political environment. Lotta explores the human condition with a thread and needle, canvas and paint, clay and ink.
Many of her artworks are a combination of mediums and techniques. Embroidery, printmaking and painting ebb and flow together to emerge as pieces that evoke feelings of home. Her works have a sense of longing: perhaps capturing a memory of family, trying to capture a feeling or a pivotal moment, a reckoning with difficult issues within our society.

Ruth Anne is Pebble Hill Gallery alumni, having last shown in 2000. Her last show featured an abstract collage series featuring the five elements; Earth, Metal, Wood and Fire, influenced by her background in Oriental Medicine.
Her current works are acrylic paintings on canvas ranging from portraits, landscape, still life and abstract. Her work has been featured in her Scripting For Success mentoring newsletter and office.
Jason Wood is a photographer working with individuals, non-profits and corporations, newspapers and magazines. He has photographed images locally in Bucks County as well as internationally in over 17 countries. Most recently, he as fused his love of photography, travel and fashion with his newest creations –original clothing or wearable art.
Jason and Ruth Anne have displayed their art together in two shared office spaces within the heart of the Doylestown Cultural District. Their collective work has been featured in Bucks County Art Tour and other local community art events.

First Sunday’s Art Opening
First Sunday’s Art Opening happens 12 – 2pm in the Pebble Hill Church Art Gallery, main Sanctuary of the Red Barn. Each month we welcome the new gallery artist in a relaxed atmosphere. The artist is on hand to answer questions and conduct gallery tours. Poets and musicians frequently join us. It’s free and all are welcome to attend.
Be aware that this event closely follows our Sunday Celebration and that occasionally we run overtime. Please respect the Celebration in progress; this is a shared space among friends. You are welcome to join us at any time, we are casual. The Gallery event will begin a few minutes after Celebration has come to an end. Thank you.

The Pebble Hill Church Art Gallery is an artist run, monthly showcase for emerging and established artists. Our church is in the center of historically and artistically significant Bucks County and since its inception in 1968, Pebble Hill Church has been a magnet for creative people. Our gallery is in the very center of our church home; the artwork is our ever-changing “stained glass”. All the events that enrich our community take place surrounded by our peace loving, joyful community spirit and our gallery’s colorful artwork.

For the past 25 years, the artists, art committee and gallery directors have created an open space outside the competitive artistic environment. Our beautiful gallery has given many local artists their 1st show, held successful art auctions, art parties, created found object, recycled art workshops and hundreds of art exhibits. Marguerite Paluch and the art committee are always open to suggestions for shows and events.

We offer artists a place to express themselves in the Pebble Hill Church Art Gallery and coordinate our FIRST SUNDAY Gallery Receptions. We maintain the PHC Peace Gallery and provide artistic support and direction to the Pebble community. With the Children’s Program we coordinate our new Yellow Barn Children’s Gallery where our children’s artwork is regularly showcased throughout the year.
The Committee is made up of Pebble artists who support the creation of art, hold workshops, events and provide an open space for expression. We believe that art is sacred, that creating art can be a form of walking meditation and that our souls thirst for this expression.
