Live from Hiroshima!

This Sunday’s Celebration, August 4, 2024, Live from Hiroshima — in the Red Barn!

This week marks the anniversary of the US dropping the atomic bomb on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.  In the 40 years since Pebble Hill Interfaith Church became a Peace Site, we have memorialized these events the first Sunday of August.

It was looking like we might be on “zoom only” while securing insurance, but the GOOD NEWS is WE GOT A NEW POLICY, so we’ll be together in the Red Barn as usual.

This week we have a special presentation!

As part of his life’s work with Peace Action, David Gibsonwas selected to represent his organization this year at the annual peace conference in Japan.

Sunday morning, David and Barbara Atkinson will join us on zoom from the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima. Fingers crossed for good connections!

Selection and honoring a recipient for the 2024 Peace Award will occur at a later date.

Join us at 10:30am (11:30pm in Japan!) in person or on Zoom.

Join with Zoom Link.
